PROCESS AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
SWJ operates a systematic process and quality management system based on standardized processes characterized by a strong sense of responsibility and clear structure. This process and quality management system is integrated into an Integrated Management System. Taking responsibility for our conduct toward our business partners and society—and, above all, in our day-to-day operations—makes us a reliable link in the value chain. Continuous improvement is embedded in our daily operations, alongside regular audits and reviews to assess effectiveness and further develop the defined processes and systems in use.
Our quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (Link to DIN certificate).
An overview of all certificates can be found here.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY / CIM
SWJ takes responsibility for its employees. It provides a safe and low-stress working environment. Hazards are identified and, wherever possible, eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level through appropriate measures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Occupational physicians and occupational safety specialists have been appointed and regularly conduct on-site inspections to assess workplace safety.
INFORMATION SECURITY / DATA PROTECTION
As reliable partners and service providers in the engineering sector, SWJ companies play a significant role—directly or indirectly—in developing future products and creating the infrastructure required to manufacture them. Often, the information itself is the product that SWJ’s customers purchase. Information is therefore a highly valuable asset that must be protected and a key success factor for SWJ and its customers.
Personal data are particularly deserving of protection in today’s world. SWJ gives a high priority to protecting personal data, which is an important component of information security. In addition, an external Data Protection Officer regularly reviews compliance with the GDPR and defines measures for improvement.
As digitalization continues to advance in a highly technological environment, it is essential—regardless of certification status—to address the threats facing an agile, interconnected value chain. We aim to ensure a trusted exchange of data and information between SWJ and our customers, other business partners, employees, and job applicants.
To ensure this trusted collaboration, SWJ has established a risk-based information security management system with appropriate effectiveness checks, which is mandatory for every affiliated company and every SWJ location.
Some SWJ locations have TISAX labels ranging from AL2 to AL3, including prototype protection.
HUMAN RIGHTS, DIVERSITY, EQUAL TREATMENT
The principles of the United Nations Global Compact (Link to United Nations Global Compact) guide the conduct and actions of all SWJ employees. They form the basis of SWJ’s compliance and sustainability standards. Cultural diversity is regarded as an asset at SWJ and is actively promoted.
