Category Internship – Studies

In principle, it is possible to apply at any time. However, we recommend that you apply for a thesis in good time before the desired start date.

Yes. Since we are actively committed to motivated young people, we offer internships. Just contact us!

For an internship you should take at least 3 months, ideally 6 months.

Prerequisites for an internship at SWJ are good academic performance, computer and English skills. Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in the engineering environment. Independence, commitment and the willingness to work in a team are important to us.

As an intern, you will receive appropriate remuneration depending on your qualifications and study status. We will discuss details as part of the application process.

Yes. SWJ always has interesting positions for students to work as a working student during the semester. The weekly working time can be up to 20 hours.

In principle, yes, if the topic is interesting not only scientifically, but also for our practice. If you have a special topic – just convince us!

Yes. Since we are actively committed to motivated young talent, SWJ always has interesting topics to assign for a bachelor’s or master’s thesis. We are also curious about your ideas for such a work.

Yes. SWJ remunerates theses depending on qualifications and study status. We will discuss details as part of the application process.

In principle, the topic of a thesis is determined in advance and already advertised with concrete content. This is important because direct practical relevance and benefits are indispensable for us and we can then also provide you with better support. However, if you have an interesting topic that is also relevant to our practice – then feel free to convince us.

Category General Questions about the work

Yes, because the customer is our top priority. This means that almost all projects are handled by our customers. We therefore need employees who enjoy project work on site.

SWJ is an internationally oriented company. We have customers all over the world and, of course, projects abroad. This always offers interested employees the opportunity to gain multinational experience. Of course, we make every effort to take individual wishes into account in the project work as far as possible. If you want to work abroad with us, you should be willing to work there for a period of at least two years. In addition, a good knowledge of English is a must.

Your cover letter and CV should be written in English. In addition, professionally translated graduation and school reports are very helpful in the exchange with our foreign subsidiaries. In this way, your qualifications and professional experience can be better assessed there.
